BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.42 percent to 2,922.73 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.04 percent higher at 8,905.96 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices totaled 789.5 billion yuan (about 111.09 billion U.S. dollars), down from 957.2 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to the AI model "Sora" led gains, while those related to the hotel sector were among the worst hit.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.01 percent to close at 1,746.18 points Tuesday. ■
